I have a Bedrug in my truck and I love it. Install was really easy and it looks/feels great. Matches the underside of my tonneau cover as well.

My suede jacket looks great too....until it gets wet.

I know the bedrug looks great, I just question it's ease of cleanup.

Received my Bedrug on Wed. Was finally able to find time/right temps to put it in this afternoon(Sun). Was shocked at how thin this thing actually is. I can tell that there will be very little to no protection against dents but I don't really haul that much stuff anyways, so will just be careful in loading in the future.

Install was pretty easy. Hardest part was the tailgate & getting the tie downs done. Overall not very difficult.

I honestly haven't had it long enought to tell . Actually , I don't plan on messing it up . Getting wet ? I have a cover for that . I have noticed , On some other bedrugs . Rust spots were something metal was on the rug for a period of time . And , The spots didn't appear to be coming off anytime soon . I don't like the thought of that happening.

Refurbished Bedrugs

I recently purchased a refurbished Bedrug on eBay. The seller was Wise Industries, the manufacturer. The Buy It Now price was $299, but they also offered a Best Offer option. I offered $235 which they declined and informed me the minimum they would accept was $279. I waited a week and offered $260 which they immediately accepted. This included shipping. The Bedrug is identical to a new one with no markings indicating it is refurbished. Wise told me the only way to tell it was refurbished was by the marking on the box. The Bedrug fits perfectly in my 2004 F-150 XLT with the 6'6" Styleside bed. Lying down on it is unbelievably comfortable. I previously had a bed mat.

1) I don't do a lot of it, but a few times/year I haul muddy, wet, filthy yard waste to the dump. The bedrug seems like it would be a major chore to clean that crap out of it. I can see pine needles embedding into the rug and pissing me off.

2) Even though I plan on purchasing an undercover tonneau, I can see situations where I forget to put the undercover back on after using the bed, it rains, and then the bedrug stays wet for a week and doesn't allow me to carry my work stuff back there.

I'm not dissing the bedrug at all, in fact I still may get it. It just seems like it could be a lot of work to keep clean and dry.
The only thing you really need to be concerned with is the pine needles you mentioned, they will get intwined in the fiber. As far as it staying wet don't worry at all the material is non water absorbing and dires in minutes. I doesn't have to be covered at all, I have one in my mother-in-laws Colorado with no cover and it looks as good as it did when I put it in. 95% of the ones I sell do have covers on them but it is not needed.

Thanks, I can always hope. It's supposed to be sitting on my front porch right now so I'll know for sure when I finally get home from work. Either way I'm pretty confident I'll be happy with it.

Now if it will stay warm and dry enough the next 2 days while I'm off so I can get it installed.

The install is pretty cut and dry ! I did take off the tie down and insert them over the rug rather than just cutting the bed rug . And, I did have the bed extender so theres more cutting lol . But , it wenty well ! And i'm very pleased with it .
