AREs LSX vs LSII

Can anyone commit on the difference between the two and if the $260 is worth the difference for the LSX?

FYI...ARE is running a $125 rebate on these two covers through March 1st.

I got the LSX ! And I can honestly say, I love it ! Its definately worth the extra $$$$ no trim . which makes it look more like body lines. than some trim sticking out . Power lock, Which means no keys to worry about . but its there if you need it .and a cargo light . YES, IMO .It worth it .PLUS you dont see many lsx's running around . youa see a ton of LSII . You'll be glad you did ! BUT not to say the LSII'S are bad . there top of the line as well . A.R.E makes the best cover that i've seen . IMO

The LSX is the way to go on the Ford. Here at the store I sell more LSX's on Fords than LSII's. The LSX has a much better fit and finish than the LSII this is achieved with the new scissors hinge system they utilize on the LSX. This allows the cover to fit tight to the bedsides the entire length around the bed, it is most noticeable in the front corners. The LSII has to flare out away from the bed in the front corners to allow for clearance when opening because of the standard piano hinge in the front. The LSX scissors hinge actually lifts the cover up and away from the bed and gives you about 4-6" of extra open height. On top of all this you get the keyless entry and interior lock shroud with 12v light, also available now for the same price is the new Sol-a-ray system which makes the LSX completely independent of the trucks wiring and works off its own battery and solar panel. The cost is the same for this option and makes installation much quicker and easier without having to run wires down the frame to the passenger side door kick panel and rocker.

As far as the price goes it really depends on the dealer but most of the time the average upcharge for and LSX would be in the $200 range and the cost of the LSX would be in the $1095.00 to $1195.00 range depending on what part of the country you are in.
