Using undercover with duraliner

Hello all, I'm new to forum and F150's. I have a 2005 F150 supercab with 6.5 bed and duraliner bedliner. I would like to put on an undercover bed cover but their website says you may need to trim bedliners. Anyone have this combo and did you need to trim a bunch from the liner? Also any real world comments about the duracover from the makers of duraliner? Thanks for any info and what a great site!!!!

Trimming would be along the top edge, to clear the tonneau clamps - would be the same with virtually any tonneau that clamps to the rail.

You shouldn't need to do any trimming at all to mount the Undercover. I have never trimmed a liner on any model truck to mount one.

I would stay away from the Duracover if going with the cost effective hard plastic tonneau. Duraliner has paired with ARE and are using the hinge and rail system from their LoPro series cover on the Duracover, after ARE started distributing them from their warehouse I talked to my other warehouse sales rep and he had nothing good to say about the Duracover as compared to the Undercover or ArmorLid, that for ease of use and installation it was more aggrivation than it was worth.

I had to cut slots in my Ford dropin liner to make room for the Undercover brackets. The best thing to use is dremel tool. The undercover instructions mention that cutting of some bedliners may be necessary. I have seen several Duracovers after they have been installed for some time and they do not fare well in the weather. The ones I have seen faded to a dark grey on the surface and did not look good at all. I like my Undercover, I've had them on 2 different trucks. All I do is hose it off and it looks just like the day I bought it.
