I love the bedrug but I was skeptical at first because I'd never heard of it before. I did some resecarch and I'm glad with the purchase. I have mine covered with a tonneau but the place that installed mine used them in their mobile install vehicles so I asked how they held up and he said great. I could not see any rips or wear on it at all. It was a little faded from the sun but looked good in my opinion.

Thanks...I may end up with just getting the bed sprayed like you said. If and when I get a topper I'll consider the bedrug then.

There are no concerns with the Bedrug for any use. I stopped doing sprays here at the shop when the Bedrug was outselling it 5-1. You won't have any problems with it in the snow either, someone earlier said they couldn't move the snow hauling and dumping it with the bedrug, it would be no problem doing this it will handle it easily. I have 2 customers that switched from sprays to Bedrugs and they both run trucking companies and use these for parts runners hauling tractor trailer rig parts rear-ends etc. and neither have any problems and love the Bedrug.

So exposing a Bedrug to the elements ie: SNOW, RAIN, SUNSHINE, etc... won't effect it what-so-ever? I know they look sweet when covered by a topper of some sort but I have (had) concerns about it holding up when exposed to all the elements.

Also, don't forget a rubber bed mat. They work great and you can take them out whenever you want!

Exactly, you don't have to have them covered. They are actually made of plastic fibers that are flame bonded onto the backing material. They are designed to be exposed to the elements. They are non water absorbing and when they get wet they dry in a matter of minutes.

Just try one they have a 30 DAY MONEY BACK GAURANTEE and a lifetime warranty. If you have any other questions give me a call at my store the number is 276-395-5742 ask for Tommy.

I just installed a bedrug in my 2007 F150 FX2. It is awesome. Extremely well made and fits like a glove. Really easy to install. The material is really tough and it has a thick cushion to it. I had a plastic bedliner in my other truck and this is way better. I definitely recommend it for any situation. I don't see any way you could mess it up. If you email them they will send you a sample and you'll see what I mean.

Just like any other product, the Bedrug has its pros and cons.

Pros: Nice alternative for your truck's bed. Removable. Easily washable.

Cons: (None are a big deal though) Will tend to sag after a while, only comes in gray, not recommeded for extreme duty; it's made of polyester fibers, so whatever you think will tear the knap, will tear the knap. Leaves and twigs tend to get caught up in the knap.

Bedrug has a new product, it's a Bedrug for just the floor that's intended to specifically go on top of a spray-on bedliner. Guess they're after the spray-on market.

Will tend to sag after a while,
I have been selling and installing them for 4 years and have had no sagging problems with any. The problem most likely is that the surface wasn't cleaned good enough for the tape on the back of the velcro to stay stuck to the bedsides.

I sell them also, but admittedly they are not that popular here in the south. I'm not exactly sure why though.

I didnt know that the bedrug was removable. I have always been against then becasue I haul around alot of dirty things and I thought that it would get it really dirty and mess it up. Now I'm thinking about looking into getting one to put over my Rhino Liner. Thanks for the info. Sounds like it would be a pretty good investment.

I don't know about putting it over a spray. The Bedrug is form fitted to the truck and the spray I believe will make the Bedrug not fit as well as it should, also the velcro adhesive won't stick to the rhino material and you will get the sagging issue discussed earlier. And yo don't have to worry about the dirt, it will spray right off, I have a customer that would haul hist dirt bikes in his and had it nasty with dirt, 2-cycle oil, etc. and it would come clean with a trip by the carwash and hitting it with the high pressure hose.

I agree that the Bedrug is way better than the spray. I have sold many Bedrugs and have had little to no problems out of them. They are mold and mildew resistant, so you won't have any problems if they get wet. It is also removable, easy on the knees, fills the gap between the bed and tailgate, and holds up to just about anything. For less money than the spray-on, I think it's a no brainer.

I've had the bedrug in my truck for about a year now, and here are my thoughts:

-It is great for light duty use. As mentioned previously, do NOT haul hay with it, as the hay is nearly impossible to get rid of.

-Mine is exposed to the elements of sunny north carolina, and it has held up well. The rain / snow / sun have not caused any issues with it yet. It does stay wet for a little while after a rain though.

-It is great for pets. The dog loves riding back there as it is much softer and more comfortable than a spray-in or plastic liner.

-It is great for tailgating. Because it creates a flat surface, there is no issue with setting things (i.e. beer) on the tailgate and having it tip over.

-While I am sure you could put one in over a spray-in liner, the adhesive likely would not work quite as well as it does on the cleaned metal surface.

-It is easily sprayed out with a hose. I wouldn't plan on carrying dirt, rocks, cement, etc on the rug a lot, but it certainly can do it.

Overall, if you plan on mostly light duty use, with some occasional honey-do type use, I would highly recommend it. If you intend to use it for commercial or heavy duty use, I would still recommend it, you just might be replacing it every 5 years or so.
