Looking for a good bed cover for my '04 supercrew

The new version has been complete redesigned. Good seals around all edges, hinge design is different and the panel material has changed also. So far I am happy with my new one.

I wouldn't say its waterproof but with the new cover they sent my I get no leaks over the bulk of the bed - meaning that the hinges do not leak.
If you look at their website and see how they are installed there are two rails which are attached to the side of the bed. the water would travel down the hinges into a channel on those rails and then is drained out of the bed either through a drain at the front or it just spills off the back near the tailgate.
You can get a little water right near the corners of the tailgate and a few drops on the sides. When going through a car wash I can also get a few drips to come in near the front corners where the weather stripping overlaps but there is just a little bit of space that water can be driven into.
All in all it is plenty dry for me, I wouldn't hesitate to travel with a suitcase or something back there.
As far as seeing out the rear window...when it is fully folded up it is in an upright position leaving the whole bed open (which is why I bought it), but that does block your view out the rear window. You can also travel with it partially folded up - like having just the front 1/4 of bed covered and this would leave your view out of the back window unffected.
