if you want it to look pretty-spray in
if its a real truck-plastic drop-in
if you got leather under your butt then why have a truck at all -carpet-

Ive had both. The spray in does not allow cargo to slide around in the bed. It also looks better and helps stop dings in the bed. The drop in allows sliding and will rub through the paint at many spots throughout the bed. This causes rust. Thats the main reason I prefer spray in. My top choice spray in liner is Leonard. They use the same stuff as Line x but are cheaper. Hope that helps

And if you are NOT driving with leather under your butt......Get a better job

I just picked up this 04 SCab last week.

taking out the plastic drop in was one of the first things I did.

The liner did scuff up the bed a littlle

Much nicer now

but as beckerjs said, i guess it depends on what its being used for. Mine is for towing my Roush to the track

If anyone wants to look at that.

now im trying to find a cover for under the tonneau to match.

I just bought my truck and the paperwork dates my LineX spray being installed in 04 and it still looks brand new.

Do you ever have to kneel down in your truck bed? I do more than I want to. Ranger I had came with a drop in liner. I left in til I got tired of moving positions when getting tools or installing the tonneau cover or even trying to seal out dust. I finally junked it, and bought a rubber mat to help stop stuff from sliding forward real fast when braking hard. My current F150 I'll probably get a bed rug, just to make the truck look real nice, since it only has 14,6xx miles for an 03 that's about perfect. If I got to kneel in the bed I better not regret kneeling down afterwards.
