Can/How do you remove Line-X ?
Hello ,
After having the bed of my 2006 F-150 S.Crew sprayed with Line-x, I had the idea to have a old motorcycle tank sprayed as well. I was going for the MadMAx/Industrial look, which I got.

Now the bike (1972 Honda CB750) is torn apart and I am not "feeling" the Line-X'ed tank anymore, and want to remove the coating from the tank. Does anyone know of a way (besides grinding) that I can get this stuff off ? Is their something the shop that sprayed the tank with in the first place use to remove the coating ? I am sure my grinder would do a quick job of it, but I am afarid I might bust thru the tank, as it is 30+ years old and made outta quite thin metal..
Anyone ??

If you have it sandblasted:
1. Do NOT use oily blasting media.
2. The best time to repaint it or whatever your going to do with it, is right after it's sandblasted. So, be prepared to start on the new finish right after it's sandblasted.
