Thanks for the pic.

Like you said, it's hard to tell from the photo what the actual texture is.

How much extra is the Xtra?

I can't post prices, so I'll send you a message.

EDIT: You need to enable emails and private messages before I can send you the info. You can do that by clicking on "User CP".

Wow, the Xtra really does look good, thanks for the pic TG! How many Xtra jobs have you done at your shop already? And how are customers liking it so far? I might call my dealer and see if he can offer me a good price to add it to my existing Line-X. If so, I may jump on it. If not, I will probably pass as I really don't 'need' it.

We've sprayed 5 or 6 trucks with it. So far, so good. Keep in mind that dealers are continuing to be trained to spray it and LINE-X has not yet even officially rolled out the advertising on their website. So, we are still in the early period for Xtra. I like to stay on top of things, that's why I'm already certified and spraying it. Silly, but I'm really excited to offer Xtra, I think it solves a lot of the shortcomings of spray-on bedliners. I can't wait until colors are available later this year.

LINE-X can be applied to an existing bedliner. I've never done it so I don't know what the results look like. Anyone who is in my neighborhood and wants to try it, let me know, I'll offer a big discount just so I can give it a try.

Try sending me an email now. The whole thing is hosed up. I quit receiving email notification to subscribed threads the week before last for some reason and evidently the "admin" has my private message ability shut off.....

I got in my user CP and clicked around then resaved, maybe it will make a difference.

I have had the LineX and have had no problems. I live in Phx Az and had no fadeing. I would send a pic but is was in my Chevy and I get rid of it for the Ford.

Also this may sound stupid but we are talking about a bedliner here. As long as it has some grip and doesn't melt away(or blow away as drop ins do),who cares how fancy they look.

I know what you mean. But, you know, those King Ranches (for example) are EXPENSIVE and why would someone want to put a trashy looking bedliner in a $40K truck? I suppose people want different things out of their bedliner.

I always love the comments and commercials with drop ins blowing out.. knock on wood I've owned 3 of them and never had one blow out of the bed. I don't even see how they could, at least the ones in the last 3 Ford trucks I've owned.

I just hate how stuff slides around on them. I'm tired of having to tie everything I put in the back of my truck down to keep it from bouncing from the tailgate to the front of the bed.

Durakon, a company that makes many of the OEM drop-ins, has a recall for some drop-ins for fear of them flying out of truck beds. Here's the info: http://ebusiness.durakon.com/Pressre...e.aspx?PRID=39

All of the drop ins that I have had have been under rail models.

The over the rail style can and do blow out, if someone removes the hardware that hold them down. I've dodged more than a few flying off trucks. But, as I said, it is always because someone has removed the hardware provided for the install. And I've never seen one fly with any weight on it.

The Dualcomp bedliner keeps cargo from sliding. Check out our website for more info. I run no tailgate most of the time with loose tools/toolboxes and I never worry about anything sliding out. Try that with any other bedliner.

*****UPDATE*****
Well its been a couple months and I am very happy with my liner. BUT...............it took 5 TIMES to get me there. They had to re-apply the line 5 different times to get the color right. I wanted white and they had never done it before. first 3 times within a week it faded to a nasty yellowish brown color. The 4th time the top coat started pealing and then finally the 5th time its perect. Its super bright white, you need sun glasses to look at it during the day. its been about a month and its still as white as ever. I can see the cottage cheese look, of course being white it looks more like it. There are a cpuple drips but I dont care, its a truck bed not a painting I am going ot hang on my wall. I bought a house so I have been moving stuff and everytime I scuff it, it just wipes off. The top UV coat does have a lifetime warranty and they told me even if I screw it up they will recoat it for me for free. here are a couple pics

One of our trucks at work has the Vortex spray on liner. It's not bad, if you could get it for a decent price I may go with it.
