I'm glad I sprayed back in 1999.

The price was $340 that was with a coupon.
Even better, they gave me a fist full of coupons to hand out to other truck owners and show them the job they did on my truck.

Why would I do that?
My name and address were on the back.
Every coupon of mine redeemed earned me $20.

I followed up on everyone who got a coupon from me.

And I had to remind the dealer twice to cough up some dough.

After two times they said they were ending the program.

Still it got my out the door price down to $300.

Prices are generally higher in Los Angeles and I paid 420 + 200 for color match a month ago. The color match is great. I'd do it again.

Taboo,

I saw your original post a few weeks ago - your liner turned out great! It's a great match!

I have the same KR, but I am going to match the trim. I saw a post of someone else who did this (on a forest green truck as I recall) and I thought it looked classy.

After all of the input from others I am convinced the guy is gouging me. I've posted elsewhere that I don't mind paying a little extra for service or quality, but after seeing all the pictures on this forum, the liners look great and the prices are far more reasonable.

I'm going to call the guy and give him the choice of coming down on price or I'll drive an extra thirty minutes to a place that will do it for a price that is fair.

I'd be hesitant to 'beat him down' on his price. Being in a service industry myself, I am very familiar with the possible differences in the quality of work for customers who pay asking price vs. customers who negotiate a 'deal'. No matter how you work it, there will likely be just a little tension between you and the overpriced guy. I think I'd rather go to the guy asking a fair price, you pay him 100% of what he asks for and he gives you a 100% job (hopefully).

The trim color is Arizona Beige. It's STUNNING as a bed color match, really. Arizona Beige is the most popular color match we spray.

Just read the thread. I too have a '05 KR (Dr Copper) and was thinking of the AZ Beige Line-X spray in. I tend to haul dirt, sod, and yard waste. I suspect the color is embedded with the product, but please set my expectations correctly. Will a light colored bedliner look "new" after a season of heavy use? I am on the fence with the color vs black.

TruckGasm: I like your price. How long does it take? I am in McKinney and if won't take a whole saturday, it may be worth the drive to Ft.Worth to have you do the work (and have it done right).

Got it! Thanks!

Hey, _SG: Heard Young has been working on his passing during spring training. Maybe they'll take the title this year!

Sorry, I've been away from the computer.

We spray a pigmented liner first that is close to the factory color and then spray the liner with Nason. Since Nason is urethane based, it actually bonds to LINE-X. It does not soak all the way through the liner. It is very durable. I sprayed a color match on a long bed about 3 months ago. The owner uses the truck to haul large bails of hay. I haven't heard from him so I suppose everything is OK. I don''t think I would recommend it if you going to be constantly dragging abrasive items over the liner.

I spray trucks for a Toyota dealer and have for about a year. I finally convinced them to put a color match on the showroom floor. They sold the truck within 3 hours. I've sprayed several more for them. This last Friday, I sprayed another one for them for the showroom floor. It never made it, they sold it before they could get it there. I'm spraying another one right now.

For a color match we prefer to keep the truck over night. However, we'll let you take after 4 hours (after it's been sprayed with Nason) IF it's not raining outside and you absolutely do not use the liner until the next day. So, your looking at all day at a minimum for a color match. (This is only for color matches or even black LINE-X sprayed with black Nason.)

I just had my Line-x put in on Saturday 4-30-05.

It took the shop about 2 hours to complete the job and it looks great (pics in my gallery). He charged me $350 + tax (378.85 total).

The default Line-x color is a paint match for my black truck. Finally, having a black truck pays off.

Just got my truck Line-X today and paid $415 out the door in Los Angeles. He told me the reason why Line-X goes up in price every year is because it's a gasoline product. I have had
Rhino and it sucked and faded suuuper quick. The texture with Line-X looks much nicer, and holds up better IMO.

As a follow up to the other posts, I had my 2005 King Ranch sprayed Line-X Black and what a super job the guy did here in SW Florida. He only charged me $379.00 plus tax. I didn't have the additive to keep it shiny as it will be covered all the time with my ExTang Tonneau. I decided on Line-X for two reasons: #1 Because of the Posts I read in these threads and #2 because several of my friends have Rhino Lining and I don't like the way it looks after just a few weeks.
