I really want to get some kind of spray
in liner for my truck, problem is the only
dealers in my area do rhino liners. Would
prefer line-x, but the nearest dealer is over
a hundred miles away. Should I go with the
rhino, drive the hundred plus miles, or wait
and see if line-x comes to town. Also, how
much does it usually cost to get color matched?
One of the rhino dealers I checked with
wanted an extra two hundred bucks!

If you decide on Rhino, please do not get a color match. Most Rhino dealers won't even spray color matches. They just add pigment to their liners and the liner will fade really bad. Most LINE-X dealers add pigment also, but then paint the liner with Dupont Nason paint, which is an automotive paint and thus won't fade. It will also more closely match the truck's paint than just a pigmented liner. The additional charge will be around $175 for a color match. If you decide on LINE-X, make sure the dealer uses Nason or something like Nason.

Rhino and LINE-X are two different products with two different warranties. If you wish, I can tell you the differences.

 

With everything I have read and seen researching spray-in bed liners, LINE-X is not only a better product, but has a NATIONWIDE warranty. This was very important to me as we are a military family and a local warranty doesn't mean a whole lot when you move every few years. In our area Rhino was our only option, so I drove 3 1/2 hours to Albuquerque to get my LINE-X, and would do it again in a minute.

 

It has always been my experience to NEVER settle. It's always best to go the extra miles to get what you want, than to settle for what's nearby. I say this, beacuse everytime you look in the garage, you don't want to think "I could have had better" and you definately don't want somebody to see the rhino lining tag and say "Oh yea, rhino. say, have you heard about this line-x." I say go for it, but also, I'm not the one going the hundred miles. Not a trip I'd be happy to take, but a trip I'd be willing to take.
