Good info, but we do not recommend silicone products. We think it makes the liner too slippery. We recommend Just Once (www.justonce.com) to keep the liner black and shiney. It's a no oil, no silicone UV protectorant.

Still looks good after 7 years, and yes I haul different stuff all the time. Those pressure washers really do a good job if you take your time

Just want to add my $.02 here..

Bed Tags...
As my colleagues have mentioned, the bed tags are not NECESSARY for warranty service. However, if you lose your paperwork then they are another way for the repairing dealer to determine authenticity of the Line-X. We all register warranties on line as well, but it can take several days to get back a result from IT. Also, if we were to transpose a Vin Number (could never happen with 15+ alpha numeric codes, now can it) we would get back a negative from IT. So.. Consider the bed tag and just ask the applicator to put it in an incospicuous place.

Why is it necessary to determine authenticity of the Line-X? Besides the financial reasons, not all products will bond with each other. If they don't bond, the customer has a bigger mess than he started with.

Silicone based coatings.....
We offer as an added service to fix minor chips at no charge (like might happen from ******** forklift guy at Homerdepot slams the forks on the tailgate). This assumes a few things...
1) no oil, paint, etc has been spilled
2) No silicone sprays have been used.
3) The bedliner is black

If one uses silicone sprays, then the whole bed has to be de-siliconed, which means large amounts of additional labor and we can no longer do it at no charge.

Bed bolts.......
We remove them on F150/250/350's, not on Rangers or Tundras.
We had trouble with Tundra bolts stripping and Ranger bolts breaking the nut/welds on the frame.

on F1/2/3, we try to remove them, we do see on trucks over 2 yrs old that sometimes the bolts hit a place on the way out that they stop dead. We then put them all back in and spray over them. We are not in the business to break a customers bolt off in the frame... Reason.. Ford puts some serious Loctite on these bolts and after about 2 yrs, well you can see what happens..
