MikeBourg, I just got my bedrug installed (love it) and the dealer did not tuck the sides under the plastic cap on the side. He said it was to tight to fit under, how did you do it, thats how I want mine.

Mine actually isn't tucked under the caps either. It is just a really close fit.

How well does the Bed Rug hold up to fading?

I saw this on another post, thought you might be interested.

$288 Bedrugs. I didn't see the SuperCrew, but you could try giving them a ring. This is the best price I have seen on them, and I think it might be an early birthday present.

Question

How does the BedRug compare with indoor/outdoor carpet? We were considering that for the bed (we have a cap on most of the time anyway)

Mike- can that be installed over a bed liner ? I'd rather not remove it if I don't have to (you can never have enough protection).
This way when the wife throws me out ater adding up all I've spent on my truck I'll have somewhere comfortable to sleep !! LOL
Looks great though.

Yankee4x4,
You should take out the Ford liner. It is designed to fit snug. I don't think it will fit well with the liner you have.

Question

After reading through your posts, I decided to order the bedrug through JCWhitney ($329 free shipping).
My only concern is that they only had 2 sizes for the F-150. I asked for the SBed, but I know the SCrew has a shorter bed. Did you guys have to do some cutting?
Thanks in advance!

I took the advise of the guys on this msgboard (after much deliberation) and bought the bedrug. Just installed it this past weekend. It fits very well and the bottom is molded to the bed of the truck resulting in a smooth floor. Very nice! I have the flare side short bed and the BEDRUG fits it perfectly. The only cutting I had to do was for the tie-downs on the sides of the bed. These were small horizontal cuts made at the height of the attached end of the tie-downs. Came out very nice!
I don't expect to do any hauling of firewood, dirt or stones so that swayed my decision from a plastic bedliner. The truck also came with a tonneau cover which will help keep the bed clean and dry.

I WANT ONE TOO!!!! Have to find a buyer for my 7 month old, near new Pendaliner first.

One question, does it flap in the wind if you drive with the tailgate down?

lariat4wd, I never drive around with the tail gate down. The rug is held in with heavy duty velcro fasteners along all edges and the floor so I would suspect that it wouldn't flap around. Perhaps others on this msgboard can give you a more definite answer.
