ARE LSII on the way
i don't know about the pro's and con's, but i did see several of them on different ford's in virginia. they all looked real sharp and i'm thinking i'll put one on my king ranch by this summer
The dealer I looked at said he doesn't do it, but he had heard of alarm/stereo shops that will connect it for cheap. It's a free upgrade if you print out the coupon from ARE's website.
How much did you pay for the cover? Did you get the headliner?

Illini, the cover was $800 and I did get the liner for an extra $100. I did get the free remote unlock coupon (I believe that kit goes for about $80). The dealer I bought it from was the only ARE dealer within probably 50 miles, and my Dad paid over $700 for a Century lid for his 2003 Harley truck so I didn't think the price was outrageous, even though I have seen people on this board pay less.
Mike, I already have the Bedrug and did order the liner that matches up with it. For now I have a couple of those cheap taplights that were sold on tv that I may velcro in until I can do something a little more permanent once Spring rolls around. Where can I get the Pop-N-Lock?
The cover is supposed to be in tomorrow and get installed on Saturday.

I`m not real sure about the LSII being water tight but I have the ARE Z series full size which mounts over the rails the same way except on the tailgate due to door. I have never had a leak on it yet and the bedrug stays dry as can be. If you plan on removing it in the future you may want to have them wire them in with quick disconnect connectors. It makes breaking the electrical connections a breeze. My brake light, 12V interior light and cover/tailgate locks are all done with them. You can pick them up at AutoZone and etc for dirt cheap and it also looks a little nicer than butt connectors or the like.
Email me and I can send you a pic of what they look like since the galleries are down.
I put a DynoLock on my tailgate before I had the cover put on so now both of them lock when I lock the truck doors. They are easy to wire in to your truck also.
I didnt buy mine at this place but it shows the lock and included wiring. They can be had cheaper if you look around
