Thanks! Keep in mind I have a great talent for making a simple job complicated ... installing the lights is easier than I made it look.

No plans for a trip to MD, but on your next road trip to Cali, swing by the house and we'll put them in, lol

I'm interested in anybody has done this with A/C
My truck has A/C (I'm assuming you're talking about air conditioning)... it doesn't affect the installation. If you're concerned about whether the lights blocking the air to the radiators will affect A/C operation, I have no answer on that for you.

Sorry yea I thought that you didn't have A/C I thought that the condensor was missing from your pictures. Going to do this probably come summer. Looks really cool.

I’m pretty much a novice when it comes to anything electrical). I think the ‘00+ are wired differently. On a side note, the light switches for the ‘97-‘99 are different than the ones for the ‘00-‘03, although they look very similiar in the cab.

They work!!
so you are saying that the white/black stripe wire and the yellow wire if for the fog operation? With that set-up and another topic i found on this i am taking it that the white/black is the fog light wire and the yellow is suppose to be the ground? Any help you can provide me with for this I would be greatly appreciative as I am trying to do this myself.

Edit: I just looked at the back of my headlight switch and I didn't see a white w/black wire there that only activated with the foglight switch engaged, If you can take a pic of the back of the switch so I can see what wires you are talking about so I can do this I would be GREATLY appreciative.

First, keep in mind I'm REAL weak when it comes to electrical. I've now run the lights for several months w/ no issues, so I'm assuming my connections are OK.

From the wiring diagram posted below, it appears the yellow is for the switch w/ the white/black for the ground. The note that reads "directs power to energize fog lamp relay" is what led me to connect the white/black wire the way I did.

The white/black wire comes from the small gray plug on the right

I hope this helps you out. It amazes me how much I'll forget about how I did something just a few months earlier ...

Well, It all depends on when the people find the threads, I for example only joined this forum last week I think it was and spent the past couple days between fixind things wrong with the truck, modding really easy mods, and reading topics on what I was looking into doing to the truck.

Looks like the two big plugs to the left look the same as mine but the little grey one to the right is missing some wires compared to mine. I will get a pic in a min what features does your truck have? I know you did fogs yourself but do you have DRLs or Autolamps?

Edit: Here is the pic I just got of the back with the wires

From what I can see the wires are as follows: (Looking down at back of plugs after pulling from dash and bending light switch to face floor)
_______________________________ __________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ___________
|Brown | Brown/WhiteStr | Orange | | Blue/OrangeStr | Red/TanStr | Lt.Blue/RedStr | | Green/YellowStr | Purple/OrangeStr | Blue/OrangeStr | Tan/BrownStr |
|Blue/WhiteStr | White/RedStr | N/A| | Black | Yellow | Lt.Blue/BlackStr| EMPTY | __________________________________________________ ____________

Edit 2: Oops , I had mis-read you late statement. I know what you mean though. Happens to me alot, I'll do something then a week later forget what the heck I did.

Ace_boy2099, my truck is a XL (base model), so it wasn't equipped w/ autolamps (or much else for that matter ...). The white w/ black stripe wire I connected to is on the right side of the small plug on the right in your picture (it's actually two wires). The yellow wire is in the larger black connector in the center of your pic.

Thanks Fairlaner, I just did this in my truck and they work. Now I am just waiting for the HIDs to come so I can use them. When I take the switch apart to change the light in it (trying to go to blue eventually) I plan on doing the mod to make the fogs work in all modes.
