Waxing Liquid Glass HOW????
Waxing Liquid Glass HOW????
What is the Best process I can do for getting the most reflective, and deepest shine outa my truck. I have heard the mention of Mcquires (sp?) Wax/ Polish/ and the Liquid glass stuff.
I am not sure on what to do to buff/ clean/ wax the whole truck because I have never done it before.
The way I understand it, I ....
1) clean at carwash
2) Let Dry, then dust with one of those duster things..(don't know the name offhand)
3) Immediately after dusting, Polish with Mcquires
4) Use the Liquid glass,, Rub on, let turn white, then rub off
????
Any help would be great guys! Thnks!!!

um....i could be wrong but if your going to use lg. you need to get all the wax off your truck so you can use dish soap. Wash your truck with that. dust it off. put on the lg. wipe it off when it turns white. then wax it.
I have used nothing but McGuires on mine since new. It is easy to use and gives a great shine. You pretty much wash and dry your truck, apply the McGuires with a wax pad, let dry and rub to a shine with a soft cloth.
There are much more expensive methods that will give somewhat better results, but they usually reqire alot more work than the McGuires. I personally don't think the extra work is worth it for me.
Check out the General Care threads and search for "clay bar", "klasse", and "zaino". These are all show quality waxes and polishes and ways to remove fine scratches and imperfections. It really depends on how much time you want to spend to make your truck look good.

1. wash with dawn to strip any old wax and residue (DON"T use any cleaner wax or anything like that)
2. use the liquid glass, put it on, let dry, buff off
i've been using LG for the past 2 years with awsome results. I just recently switched to zaino and OMG what a difference. A little more $ up front and a little more work for the innitial process, but after that its super easy (easier than LG or a wax) and will last a long time. less than an ounce will do a coat on my truck
pics are in my gallery. zaino pics are at the bottom of the 1st album. dont' have time to post them now.
i'll post a helpful link later that may help your decision
good luck

Awsome!
Thanks for the response!
I am going to try the Zaino at first I think, being that a person switched FROM LG to it and liked it better... Unless I don't just go with Mcquires. Being that I'm in Colorado, the weather isn't going to be great till next summer, and I don't even know if it is worth waxing right now.
But WHEN i do decide to wax it, this info will come in Handy. Thanks again!
OH here, as a tribute to 9/11 This is an EXCELLENT Clip with appropriate music. Please check it out!!! I think you'll like it!!!
