The Harley grill retails for $212 and some change and that includes the surround with the grill. I always prefer to buy my stuff right from the dealer (helps that I have a friend who works in service/parts) I have seen others like it at karkraft.com. Not sure about the quality though

Question Harley Grill

Madd

Hope I'm doing this right, my first time, bare with me, please
I missed a post I suppose, who make the Harley Grill? We live in deer country and every now and then one decides to go to greener pastures, place heck with vechiles.
Waiting on a ship to come in, if and when, a HD is in order. Trying to get all the mod's line up. Enjoy the forum, lots of ideas, just takes dreams and $.
Thanks

Madd,

I think I may have been confusing. The Harley grill and surround are one part. I have heard others think that it 2 separate pieces and its not. It only comes in black (of course) and shadow gray. I have heard people take out the grill itself or have the surround repainted to match their paint.

Xsheepherder, the geniune Ford/Harley grill is made by Ford but there some places (like Karkraft.com) that have similar ones or even copies.... I just dont know about the quality though. Places like fordpartsonline.com and oemfordparts.com usually have great prices.... just my .02 cents though, good luck guys

Harley Grille

Madd, Let me give you the straight scoop. There are two harley grilles available. There's the old style that has many small thin horizontal slats. These came on the 01 and earlier HD trucks. Then there is the new 02 Harley grille. This one has seven relativly fat horizontal slats and the grille has a bright chrome finish. I'm assuming this is what you are talking about since it is the sweeter of the two.

Now, you can buy these grilles from your local Ford Dealer. I've seen prices renging from $259 - $320 plus tax. when you buy this grille from the dealer it comes with the entire surround. It can be ordered in black or shadow grey only. Although you have to buy the insert complete with surround, it can be easily "popped" out of the black or grey surround and installed into any other color surround.

I have a brand new 2002 HD seven slat chrome grille and surround for sale. It's brand new in the box from the factory and is NOT a take off. It includes the chrome grille, shadow grey surround and blue oval emblem. I am selling them for $205.00 plus shipping. There is one problem though. UPS, FedEx, etc... will not ship the factory box as it is dimensionally too large. You can either arrange shipping via any carrier of your choice OR I can "pop" the grille out of the surround, repackage, and ship to you. The purchase price is the same either way though.

If you search E-bay, there is a guy selling just the insert with NO bule oval emblem or surround for $259 + shipping and people are choosing the "buy it now" option quite often. Randy

My local dealer won't sell me the grille. They want the VIN number off it. What's up with that? I can see if it was the Emblems or something.
Later,
Craig

I asked my dealer about that... He said that they only need the vin # if the part you want has the HD logo on it. The grill doesn't. They should sell it to you...
