Silver Stars?!?!?!?!?
Silver Stars?!?!?!?!?
I'm fixing to get some Sylvania (sp?) Silver Stars when ever I'm through the City next. For those of you with these installed, what is your opinion on them, do you like them, etc?
I have them in my head/fog lights and they really do illuminate the road pretty well. However, if you are after that blue-tinted look, these won't make you happy. The light is white (with a very, very slight yellow tinge). So, if you want brighter lights, go for it. If you want brighter lights that look blue, these are not what you want.

I use Eurolites fusion bulbs (xenon) almost exclusively, they have the straight white light with a very slight blue tint to them. Much brighter than the cheapo blue bulbs, which are mainly appearance only. Silverstars are very bright also, but without the xenon appearance. Stay away from the "cool blues" and "Hyperwhites" and you should be okay.

I wish I had saved my one good bulb when one of the xenons burned out. I could show a pic with one in each side. Silverstar vs. Xenon

I put them in mine with the stock lenses and they worked great. I then upgraded to the lightning lights and they are really bright now. It gives off a nice bright white light with no bluish tint like some of the others have. Its a great upgrade over stock. I do a lot of back road driving and this has made a noticeable improvent over stock.

Now if only they made them in H3 for my foglights!
