Eclipse hood scoops

I was just wondering about these hood scoops, I have read in other posts that people say they look really fake but to be honest there is a red F150 in my hometown and I think they look really good plus there under $100.00. Just wanting opinions. Thanks.

sorry bud but I got to go with the fake thing. theres 2 chevy trucks in town with them and we hassle them to no end!

there are some nice hoods out there, I know the scoops are cheaper but I just don't think its worth the hassle..

Hey Icon

Icon I agree 100%, I would love to have a new hood but if you can't afford it the eclipse hood scoopes are the way to go. I have passed a couple of fords on the highway and I think for the money they look real good. Where is a good place to buy a hood at a reasonable price. Thanks?

This is the one I keep looking at.

Depends on what you define as "reasonable price" for a hood.

I have seen alot of cheesy looking hoods looking around, and keep coming back to this one by Cervinis.

It is expensive at 439.00 ( might find it cheaper, have not shopped price yet ), but I see this alot on Ls, so it has to hold up alright, else there would not be so many of them around here.

There are 2 styles, I am looking over this style.

Better to wait and save the money for a decient hood is what I am doing.

the only thing that is bad about the scoops is from the side you can tell there stuck on..(looks cheap) if they were metal and you had a mig then you could weld the sides and grind paint ect.
then there still non funtional..
the hoods are going to run you 400+ but it just may be better to save a little more and get one.(I can't save a pennie so I charge it and pay off my debt.)not the best solution but it works..

maybe see if a good shop can cover the gap at the side of the scoop and it would be a good mod till you tire of them and swap hoods.

aline them careful cause you will only get one shot..

Unhappy

I guess I don't agree. When I looked around I didn't find a complete hood that I liked. (I've since decide one on Cervini's was pretty nice.) I asked by body man about them first and he recommended them because, in his opinion, aftermarket hoods rarely fit right. I've had mine on about 3 weeks and have had lots of compliments.

yes, i'm going to be getting a cervini's soon...

439 for the hood. Cheapest your gonna get it new
130 for shipping. But i'm picking it up myself cuz they are only 1/2 hour away so i don't need to pay shipping.
200-400 for painting. Yes i've had 3 quotes so far and they said 400 I'm not payint that much, need to find a hook up somewhere. And i might get 2 ghost flames painted on the scoops in red like this L has in blue.

Lund scoops: IMO look aight. You can definately tell they are fake, but they do look good. BUt for the 100 bucks for that, and then whatever it is to paint them, just save the cash and save up for a hood. Be worth it more in the end.
