I just have to ask....
How much did it cost to get all of those items painted at your local dealer? I was thinking of getting my handles painted, wheel well trim and some other things... But I was just curious how much you paid for all the work at the dealer.
Thanks,
Thanks,
it works out to $250 US (taxes included)
The body shop manager told me this was the max price, and said it might be less.
I am getting so impatient, can't wait for Fri afternoon to pick it up.
Pics to follow!

Post some pics when it gets done!
Hey, If you could post some pictures when your done that would be sweet! I want to do kind of the same paint thing... 250 is a really good deal too! The lowest place up here quoted me 300-350 for my door handles, wheel well trim, and my bumper. However I think that I am just going to go with the door handles and wheel well trim since I am going for the crome look...
I also have to decide what I want to do with those side steps...
Should I get Westins? Or Paint my current ones... Or any other ideas?

4x4, heres a tip...
Don't go to the track.
hehe, j/k!
Seriously though, some members on here have photoshop.
A good thing to try is get a current 'now' photo of your truck, decided what you think you would want to do, and ask someone to change your now pic, to how it would look with the work done.
This way, if you want to see how something would look, you 'virtually' can first without actually doing anything.
If you like what you see, then go for it, if not, then you saved yourself a few hundred bucks on something you don't like.
I gotta get me that photoshop program and figure it out.
That thing is amazing, you can see what ur truck looks like lifted, lowered, painted, whatever your heart desires.
Check back here tomorrow afternoon!

4x4PWR, check out this cover, it's the one I'm going to buy for my truck next week. It's only a matter of taste really, depends on if you like it or not
I have the 4x4 style bumper, and this cover is designed to slip right over them

Blown Truck,
They sanded the cowl down before the paint was applied.
Looks like a really good job in person.
Must Ride,
The cover is Pace Edwards roll top cover.
I really like it, serves my needs well.
It does lock, however... to answer your question:
Any cover can be broken into if someone wants in bad enough!
Locking covers are mostly suited to keep the "passer by" from reaching in and taking your stuff.
At least with a lock, if someone wants in, they have to spend a few minutes by your truck making a ruckus, and draw attention to themselves.
Most people who just casually pass by and lift stuff, would rather move on to a vehicle that's not locked. (My guess)
If I didnt need my truck bed open several times a day, I would have gone with a fibreglass tonneau (they look so sweet)
But, the roll top is a good compromise.
