Question Where can I get my bumper cover painted?

I have a gen3 street scene cover that i just got in the mail. I cant find anyone who wants to paint a urethane cover. This also holds me up on doing my roll pan which has been sitting in my garage. I also wanted the trim around my window painted body color and my mirrors also..the grill trim and myabe a few interior peices also. Anyway, anyone know who would or could do this all at the same time for me? I live in the tampa bay area.

Over here

Hey I live across the state from you in Melbourne.

Is that worth talking about?

I spray myself. If it gets too out of my comfort zone I have 2 or 3 others that can spray here.

Nothing you desribed sounds difficult. Done most of it already.

Let me know if you wanna talk more.

Thanks for the offer but you guys are pretty far to drive. There has to be a paint and body shop here that has some talent. The guys I asked here won't even paint the plastic trim pieces because of the texture. So I said "ever heard of sand paper?" They didnt't like that so I walked out on them. If they aren't creative professionals I dont want them near my truck. I have seen all this stuff done before, (except for this particular front end) and it all looked great. Thanks for the offer

Look for a local dealer that you can trust. You might pay a little more, but they should be able to match up paint well and do a good job. My dealer did mine before I took delivery and did an excellent job. Just a thought.

Well here's the deal

The reason nobody really wants to touch it is that yu won't really like the numbers they give you for cost. A body shop can make more money on bodywork than they can doing time consuming custom stuff.

As to the sandpaper comment. Sand it yourself and save a good chunk of money. Spraying is not that much time but be warned paint ain't cheap. I just a pint of color matched urethane for my truck.

My jobber rate was $34.00 for the pint of just basecoat paint. Plus reducer, plus clear, you get the idea now?

I know driving is kinda out of the question. There is always UPS.

As far as it being us guys. I don't do this for a living. I just learn how to do things as I go. I still learn. Have friends that teach me things I don't know and vice versa.

Good luck
