Cool Bug deflector

I recently bought a 1997 F-150 extended cab 4x4 with long bed...I was wondering if anyone could recommend a particular brand of bug deflector, also what are the advantages and disadvantages of installing one?????

I put one on, i got it at a surplus store for 30$ it was nice looking and fitting, i got the matching rain gards for the widows($28), it was cool and not too exspensive.

The benifits are a good windflow to help the bugs from smashing against the winshield but can be a place for leaves to hide, and can trap some other goodies. Id say for the looks and the windflow not getting in the cab when i smoke and its raining is nice to, check out my gallery, and see if you like it

Install time: 25mins, and no busted knuckles

Thanks guys for your info, looks like I'll be getting one.......by the way, you didn't lose any fuel mileage due to increased drag did ya???.........I'm guessing it would be miniscule at worst..Thanks!

Bug deflector

I had the same questions concerning my F-150. Any thoughts on particular brands such as Lund and Auto Ventshade? What should I be on the lookout for?

-Thanks
