Peeling sidesteps..... Please help....!!

Hello all,

When I bought my truck the dealership installed the Ford sidesteps. They are composite and are painted to match the truck.

However, thanks to our very rough Canadian winters, the paint is peeling off and it makes my truck look very shabby.

What can I do to fix this? I dont want to spend 400 $ CAD to get them repainted.

I was thinking about using touch up paint, but the area of the parts on the the step that the paint have peeled off are about 4-5 inches squared.

Can u guys suggest anything???

Im open to all suggestions.

Thank you in advance!

I don't know how this would work, but it's just a suggestion.

Why not try something like Herculiner, or one of the other spray-on bed liner companies. This stuff should hold up to your winters ok. I'm just not sure how well it would attach itself to your steps. Good luck, Rich.
