Visors - opinions please

I'm looking to add a lighted visor, like the Lund Lunar Lighted visor to my SuperCrew. I read one place that the older design (not as earodynamic) are more stable than the newer designs.

If anyone has a visor on their '97+ Ford F150..preferably a SuperCrew, Please post your thoughts on your visor, brand, model, price, etc.

I appreciate your time to respond.

Best regards

Thanks, I plan on getting the same one, but the lighted version. Looks sharp!

Glad to hear you have had no problems with it....not even any wind noise at hwy speeds?

Same visor

Nice truck S-76!
I have the same visor on a similar set-up with the 2000 Lariat 4x4 Flareside extended cab. I thought that the visor would off-set the ARE camper shell on the back, and I am real pleased with the look that the visor adds. I wish that I had gotten it sooner. It seems to have reduced the gas mileage a bit, but if I could keep my foot out of the intake, I would complain.

Well, there is a little wind noise, but it could be from the other stuff I have on it. Like the vent visors or bug gard. It doesn't bother me though. It's not visible in the picture, but it is the lighted version.

I have the Lund Sloar Visor, I ordered the lighted one, but they shipped me the wrong one. I like it, like S-76 said, there isn't too much noise. I am happy with it, and I think it looks good, it would be better with the lights, though.

lunar vs moon

I like the look of your moon visors. I am thinking about one for the sc. Was wondering peoples opinions between the lunar and moon especialy someone who has seen both on our trucks. Also where is the best place to hook wire up to turn on with park lights ? Is there someone who sells pre painted visors? Thanks in advance.

IMO I like the lighted moon visor's over the lunar visor.
I don't have one on my current supercrew, but the only reason is because I have a p/moon roof & I thought the wind would be a factor or maybe a problem with noise . I've had 3 lighted moon visor's in the past & really liked the look. They are sure solid mounted though. No vibration at all. The down side was having to replace the windshield I first had to take the visor off.

The wire runs down the side of the pillar, and gets attached to the wire for the running (Parking) lights.

I think the only difference is one is lighted the other not. Both are the same shape. I had a local body shop paint it to match. I don't remember the exact cost, but some where arround $100 for prep, paint and mounting.
