Question 9005 same as 9145??

Have had a few people tell me that the fog light bulbs on my Y2k 150 (9145's) can be replaced with 9005's-typically headlight bulbs for cars. I have NEVER seen 9145's (once again what is on there from the factory) advertised with hyper white style, does anyone know if these are interchangeable or where to get hyper white 9145's? any help is always appreciated- medic

I did this modification almost a year ago. Yes, the 9005s or 9006s will fit into the stock fog light with some minor trimming of one flange. I went with the 9005s however, these are high beam headlight bulbs. If you do this, go with the 9006s. They are less bright but brighter than your stock versions.

I was occassionally getting oncoming cars flipping their brights at me indicating my driving lights were too bright. I have since changed the front end of my Expy with the Stillen Motorsports "Storm" front valance that uses 4" round driving lights with H3 bulbs. I no longer need my 9005s. If you are interested, I will sell them too you at a good price.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Tom
