Angry Stull billet products

How many of you have had problems with Stull billet grilles not fitting right?? My upper grille has a little gap between the grille and grille surround on the drivers side, and my lower grille almost didnt fit. Scratched my front bumper cover while putting in the lower grille.... . Has anyone else had the same problems??

Thanks

Unhappy Sorry to hear your problems

But both of my Stull grilles fit perfectly! Is the gap in your grill shell top/ bottom or side to side? I know on mine either the upper or lower most grill blade is covered by the shell. Perhaps you should play around with different positions. It could be your trying to have all the blades visible? Good luck!

Thumbs up Thanks 99flareside!!

I guess I got a dud..........lol. All the blades are straight. My brother has one on his truck and his fits perfectly also!! Its not much of a gap, but it is at the upper drivers side part of the grill. I believe that the bend in the grill isnt exactly right, but since I already have it on there, I will leave it be. I finaly got the lower grill to fit right, and man they sure do look good on my truck..... Thanks for your help!! And can anyone tell me how to post pic on here, search engine still down!!!

Are you sure you didn't get a grill for a 98-99 F150 they are a little smaller than the 99 and up trucks.

Mine fit great.

I just installed the Stull insert and it fit just great. But since installing it I have noticed a whistling or whinning noise coming from the front of the truck when travelling aroung 65 and up. Has anyone else noticed a front end noise after installing the grill insert?

I have never noticed a whistle coming from my Stull grill.

One thing I noticed while installing it was that the billet bars may have been a little too long. If you're having a problem with one side not mounting flush, put your hand up underneath the grill shell and feel around for the billet grill. I noticed the bars hitting a lip in the grill shell. It only took a little push up get it off the lip and mount flush.

Try that. I hope it helps...

Either you use the "attach file" feature when you post a message or click on "vB Code help" and go down to "adding mages"

I have not gotten any whistling sound from my grilles either!

Thumbs up thanks for the info

I have the right year grill, I figured out that my grill surround isnt straight, Its not to noticable, but it will be ok. Mine makes a little whistle, but I believe that its from the lower grill.
