I have a silver 2001 SCrew and I am looking at getting a brush guard put on it. The only thing is I don't know if I should get a black or a chrome one. I think the black would show up better on the silver truck, but then again I think the chrome would just look better overall. I just wanted to get a few opinions before I go out and buy one. Let me know what you think.

 

Hwta else are you going to add? Do you have steps and are they black or Chrome. I would not mix the tow colors. I think all black accessories would look good on a silver truck. That's just my opinion. My sister has a sivler SCrew and has black steps which look good. It is an XLT. Good luck with your decision. Which guard are you going with?

 

I've seen silver trucks with both and personally, I think chrome (or polished stainless) looks better as long as other accessories like step bars or running boards are also chrome or stainless.

The other thing to consider....is your bumper is chrome or painted? If chrome, all the more reason why a chrome brush guard will look better.

Well right now all i have on it are the black running boards that came on the truck. I am eventually gonna get some black westin nerf bars. If I go with black, which is what I think I am going to do, I am gonna get the Westin Sportsman guard. I think that is an extremely nice guard.

 

I think on the silver truck the only way to go would be black. But I know how hard the decision is to make because I posted the same question for my truck a little while back. Most of my respones were to go with black or that black would look alright on my truck (see pic below) even though it's royal blue with chrome bumpers. Anybody want to talk me out of the black and back into a SS bar? See what I mean, just can't make up my mind. By the way Westin does make the Sportsman in a chrome/SS version too.
