THis sucks

Someone hit my truck. I am so mad. i was parked in the middle of town and i went out to my truck and someone had scraped the whole right side of it with what looks like their black plastic mirror. I am hoping it can be buffed out but i don't know. On a better note i got my subs installed. 2 10" mtx with an Mtx amp... I can't believe how good it sounds. My subs sound better than this guy with 2 12 mtx 8000 series. Mine are only 4000 series.. I guess that is what he gets for putting them in his trunk. Well i am still mad about the scratch but hey what can you do? cya

i suggest Turtle Wax Polish Compound. Coming back to school from lunch, I used an entrance I never use, and didn't even think about tree brances, and I had really big scrapes all over. I got it washed, but they were still there, and at walmart I got the compound, and they buffed right out. I'm sure it'll atleast help it.

I can speak from expereiance on this one for sure. In the end I guess it depends on how bad the marks are. About 3 months ago I had a Caviler (friends wife) side swipe me and left one single black mark all the way down the side of my truck. It was right at the top of the front fender flares, skipped the door and all the way down the bed. I first used a clay bar to get the loose stuff then went to a fine scratch remover, then on the bad spot a clearcoat safe polishing compound, to finsih it all off and for shine I reapplied some wax. The only thing you could still see was one mark on each fender flare and a small gouge/dent in front of the gas tank door and that is only in the right light. As for her mirror... it was completly destroyed. Give it a try, if it doesn't work you can always have a pro try or have a body shop fix it. Good luck.

Try the Meguiars 3 step system... Step 1 is a cleaner with a very mild abrasive. Step 2 is a polish that really puts on a shine, especially in dark colors and step 3 a Carnauba wax that makes the shine look about 2 feet deep... That is until a bird s^!ts on it.
Some buffoon dragged a shopping cart across my driver's door and the 3 step deal worked really good. Can't see the marks anymore at all.

cjb 150, I know how you feel. I walked out of the mall on Monday and there was a big fat dent in my car. No note, no witness. This dent is going to require the body shop. No polishing will fix it.

At least is wan't the truck!

Merry X-mas.

well i guess i can cosider myself lucky about 2 weeks ago me and my boss were reparing one of his coal trucks on the job. i had the compressor in the back of my p ickup and he had his boom truck lifting tires...as soon as he swung the tire around he caught the side of my pickup on the bed but luckily the tire just scuffed from the tail lightto the front step .. sprayed the scuffs rite off at a drive thru pressure washer!
