I saw them on eBay too. Based upon the photo, they look like the same lamp. You might check with Ford Racing to see if they are actually selling such a lamp. I checked my latest Ford Racing catalog and I did not see them listed. Just a few months ago, Stylin Concepts was selling the projector lamps for $229 a set. However, their price has increased to almost $400. Supply and demand I guess.

Stylin concepts has raised it's price but they are the same lights. Ford Racing is BULLPOOP. They are made by APC (American Products Company) www.4apc.net

BEWARE.. I have a early 97 F150 and these lights did not fit. I even got out the dremel and removed material from my headlight buckets, but enough could not be removed and still remained structurally sound. Since you have a 97 I'd honestly take a pass on these lights. I don't know if they will fit your truck or not, but I know they don't fit in mine. If you buy them from ebay, chances are you will get stuck with them even if they don't fit. People on ebay are not good about taking returns.

As for those "diamond euro" type, I have not had them so I dunno how good they are. I am probably going to buy a set soon and test them out.

One vote for the Euro Diamonds! I love mine. They are the Depot brand, and I got them matrixracing.com through Ebay. The sellers name is bonbonshaker, and he usually has some great stuff for sale, cheap!

Cool

I've had both and either way they're much better than stock. The euro diamond (see 98Screamer's pic) DOES put out better light than the projector style 9007. One reason is the 9007 bulb on the projector headlamp is partially covered. I got lucky and got mine from Stylin Concepts before they jacked up the prices. But the primary reason for getting the projectors was the extra H3 projector lamp on the side. It depends on how much you want to spend $200 for the euro diamonds or up to $400 for the projector style. Good luck.

Do you have to go and spoil all my fun? Just kidding.
I was planning on changing out my headlights to a euro or a projector style on my early 97. I saw it as a possible way to get some cool new headlights and not even have to deal with finding some clear cornor lenses. I figured it would have been an easy step to upgrade to a newer style headlight that way, but I guess not. Thanks for the info, let me know if you find something that will work.

Why stay with one bulb, when you can have two!

CatEyes, true HID Xenon low beams, PIAA high beams.

Jupiterak, can you tell a big differnce in the new lights while driving, and does your regular light switch controll both or did you have to get a fog light switch? Did you go with the rears or stay with the Fords.

Talking

PhillipSVT- There's a slight improvement with the 9007 bulb. But the projector (H3 bulb) is unbelievable, it put's out a very wide beam of light. And is does come with a lighted switch for the projector bulbs. The switch is almost identical to the PIAA switches.

Did you go with the rears or stay with the Fords.
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.

sorry, did your replace the tail lights with the clear ones. are the new headlights easy to install? and finally, do you have a pic of your entire truck, mine is white also, and wanted to see what the total package would look like.

At the moment, I have some painted GTS "slotted" tail light covers on. The new headlamps are easy to install. But be sure to use the original adjustable/mounting screws on the new headlamps. Take the new ones off, so you won't have to adjust the light beam too much.

thepawn,

How much did this HID set up run you? Where did you have the work done? I would assume this is a big improvement over stock?

Thanks,
