I put one in the grill and also one on the tail gate, I have had
nothing but great comments from evrybody that sees them.
They make your truck stand out at night. You really won't belive
the distance it can be seen and made out. Just check with your
local law to make sure there is no problem, you can run a
dirrerent switch so it is not on all the time with your headlights.

Thumbs up Very nice!

Very nice Ram-Air. Looks great! I'm still working on saving for the Cervini's hood but I like the logo's. How did you get power to the one on the tailgate?

rtroha,

I spliced into the brake lights. On my truck, I have the three bulb system. I used the bottom bulb, cause that one just lights. Top bulb is brake, center reverse, bottom just sits there an looks lite.LOL. This way it works with the running lights. I hope you get you hood soon. I know how much you want one.

I spliced my into the liscense plate wiring. The frame nearby also provides a convenient shelf for the film canister in which I put the light relay.

I read somewhere where a guy I think in Wisconsin got pulled over for running one. He claimed only emergency vehicles can run blue lights.

Eduk8er,

The cop probably had a bad night as far as tickets. So he decide to bust this poor guys chops. I mean, it is true. But, I've been riding around for awhile with these. Cops don't even bother to second look. I've even had a cop compliment me on them, an were he could get one for his truck. He had a chevy though. I asked him about the blue light thing. He told me, It's such a small part that's illuminated, it doesn't really signify anything. It doesn't flash, it's not an annoyance. That's it was such a petty thing, it was just a useless stop for something so little. Now the strobes and the neon lights are something different, he said. Some of the guys take full advantage of these things. He was cool.

I've been stopped for it too, but mine's on a switch, so I played the whole, "OH! I forgot! I was showing it to some friends earlier, and must've forgotten to turn it off..." Turned it off, they ran my clean record, and sent me on my way. It's true... In MI, blue is reserved for police vehicles.
