Question Ford Wood Dash Kit

Looking in the accessories brochure I notice that Ford makes a wood dash kit for the F150's. Has anyone bought and installed one of these? I wonder if the door switch plates wrap around or are flat. The picture shows the radio area cover and it looks very nice (also has a ford emblem on it). From my research, the aftermarket ones are pretty cheaply made and sometimes are not worth it, so I wondered if anyone could offer feedback on the Ford ones? $212 best price for the Supercrew one which includes the radio and 4 door switch plate covers.

I also noticed the trim kits in the accessories brochure. I seem to recall the prices being higher than that, but it could be that I was looking at their carbon fiber trim kit.

I have ordered a trim kit for my SCrew, carbon fiber, from Discount Dash. Their kits are 3D molded, so I hope the fit and finish will be good. The kit includes 7 pieces (radio trim, left vent, speedo trim, and 4 door pieces). If youl'd like, I will post pics, and comments after I get them in... Should be getting them this week.

P.S. I know this doesn't answer your question about Fords kit...I haven't seen their kit up close.

This price was what was quoted from a parts dealer online. The brochure was considerably higher and I would not have considered them if I had not gotten this price. Just wondered if anyone knew more about it.

I've seen 'em

I've seen them in every XTR that I looked in. Saw them in a Lariat but it was installed by the owner.

Looks great, better than the stick on pieces elsewhere

I just received my carbon fiber kit (made by Sherwood) last night. It's 11 pieces, so far looks pretty good. Now if I'd get my butt off this keyboard, I'll begin the installation!

Got it from dashesonline.com. They do offer other finishes.
