Tails ? ? ?

I've got a question about my taillights. I found some Alteeza's on Ebay and they claim to fit '97-'01. My truck ('97 Lariat, Ext Cab, Flareside) was manufactured in 5/96 according to the sticker on the door. Will these lights fit? I know the headlights differ and I ran into that problem earlier. Just wondering if the tails were all the same? Thanks!

Yup...

Dont have to worry about the tails, just the parking lights, even the Lighting tails. All altezza's for flaresides apply to 97-02.

The 99's to 2001 are two bulbs. I know the 97 have three bulbs so make sure the tails will fit with three bulbs. Trust me i have found some Lightning tails and was going to put them on my truck. Come to find out it only has two bulbs so I had to pass on that deal.

Yeah it'll still work tho- I just left one hanging- not a problem, just take the bulb out and leave it there (this on the L tails)

Thanks for the response guys. I didn't win the auction tho. Started looking into the L Tails now. Where can I get some for a good price? The cheapest I've seen are around $250?

you can't use the lightning one because you have a seperate blinker light then a brake light then your reverse light.

well those don't look like the actually lightning tailights, but I may be wrong. I'm just going by what my buddy said because he works at a customize shop and he said for the 97 you need all lights in the back to work. The ones he had came off a lightning the guy came in and got carbon fiber ones. He was gonna give me the tailights but the guy said they wouldn't work with my 97 so I was like crap.

Hmm, well thanks for the info. I'm glad I didn't just go spend $250 on tails that may or may not fit. Guess I'll have to look into it a bit more. Sure hope they do fit tho, cause I sure love the way they look.

If they got a phone number I would call them and ask them if those are the actual lightning lights and then ask if they will fit your 97 truck

the lightning taillights will work on the older trucks with 3 lights i have a 98 that i put them on the one light is just a dummy light (extra light) just un plug it and leave it there. all you need is the plug that went to the rev light and the one withe the double prong bulb it has the brake light tail light and turn signal all in one. many people have done this on this board so trust them because i dont think they steer you wrong they helped me alot.
