Styleside vs Flareside

Hi there!
I'm a new owner of a 2007 F150-XL. Like many trucks this age, there's quite a bit of rust happening around the wheel arches, so I'm looking at arch flares. The ads...so, so, many ads...are showing some for "styleside" or "flareside" models. How do I know which I have? Also, if someone could recommend one or other brand, that would be great. I don't mind drilling holes in the truck - I would think bolt on flares would give a better appearance than the clip-on, or even double-sided tape which the cheaper ones seem to use.
All advice appreciated!

Hi and welcome! I don't think the 2007 Model Year had any flareside options so yours is probably a styleside. Here's a picture that shows the difference: https://handler.autosdepo.com/eBay/K...word=STYLESIDE As you should be able to see, flareside has fenders over the rear wheels outside of the bed. The styleside has the wheels inside the sides of the bed and the wheel arches are inside as well.

I can't really recommend any arch flares, but I agree, that bolt on flares would be better.

Thanks, Jack, that's exactly the info I needed, and you're right, mine is styleside. Now for the "fun" of deciding which to get...

Thanks, glc - I was not aware of that fact. Appreciate the correction.

They still had them, but they aren't as nice looking as the old "bar of soap" 1997-2004 flaresides .
