PTM 2012 Badges

Looked at previous threads on painting the badges, but none gave solid answers to some of my questions...

1. Is removing the badges with fishing line the best/safest method?

2. What holds the badges on? Is it just adhesive or some sort of pinning as well? I want to make sure so that if I take them off, I can put them on and they will fit exactly the same/fit straight.

3. What products will I need to paint and put the badges back on?

Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks ya'll

1) Yes, guys have been doinf it for years, even in the Ranger world I came from

2) Adhesive tape like 3M. There are two pins too for alignment, but they do not "hold" the badge on

3) Any decent spray paint will work. Alot of guys use the Duplicolor ColorMatch paint, but you can have Oreilly's or almost any paint shop mis you up a can in an aerosol can.

Or you can plastidip so that id you dont like it, you can peel back off. no need to remove emblems for this though

Fishing line, 3M Adhesive Remover, IPA, a hairdryer, and plastic razor blades have never let me down.
