Door handle thoughts/input

Hey all,

2010 F150 SCREW XLT Tuxedo Black. Per the dealership in 2010 the Tux Black paint job was custom order only on trims below Lariat/Platinum (I didn't research this since the truck was priced right and I ran with it). However after having it almost a year I am growing tired of the plastic black door handles and thinking about upgrading to the all painted tux. black handles to match the paint and on the driver side have the push buttons (if feasible).

Can anyone provide input on what this might cost and the best shopping routes versus a dealership?

Thanks in advance!

Buy the handles in the classifieds and do it yourself. $100 for all 4 with the keypad is good deal. Get quotes from local body shops if you can't paint

I did mine on my scab, left the pull black and put on several coats of clear

Thanks Cowboy! I appreciate it. I just did a quick search on ebay and I am finding tons of chrome handles. I tried "plastic" instead and it is turning up the OEM black heavy duty plastic. Is it this kind that would get painted or is there a specific type/metal/etc I should be looking for that the paint will take to alright?

The fake chrome ones actually are pretty easy to paint. Just make sure to use an adhesion promoter. ( I used the oem plastic ones for my handles)
