Question Black out DSG?

Hey guys,
Im not sure if this is the correct spot to post this (mods feel free to move if not) but i have a 05 Dark Shadow Gray XLT S/C and i am looking at two directions for my truck. My first thought was to go with chrome wheels and accesories but now im thinking about "Blacking it out". I know this is all personal preference but i would like opinions about both. Also the truck is going in for Magnaflow SIDO exhaust and a leveling kit on thursday. With the Rancho self adjustment shocks "quick lift" shocks, should i just install them front or front and rear? Sorry for the double question but i fiqured id kill two birds with one stone Guess im trying to start a brainstorming session and you guys are awesome with ideas Thanks in advance for the help guys! Ps anybody in the Norman OK and wanna grab a beer? New to the area lol!

Everybody else has why not? Honestly, I don't have anything against just never a huge fan of the blackout look. I also feel like it becomes a bandwagon thing sometimes (not in any way saying thats why you're doing it).

I think it comes down to what you really want. We can all tell you hey black it out, but hell we could also tell you to slap some pink on it.

I do really like this, just curious how it would look with my chrome bumpers?

My input would be if you don't intend to paint to match the bumpers, I'd go chrome wheels.

I have been debating that with myself all day, but i think the rims i have picked out will allow me to keep the Chrome without issue. Besides it will give my truck a "unique" look lol. I ordered a Chrome grille and bumper insert today also for it along with HD heads, tails and 3rd brake light from a fellow member. ill post pics when i get them installed. Guess i might as well call this my Build thread. Please feel fee to shoot me any ideas you guys have, I really do appreciate it. You guys

Probably like my old 2004 truck. Not all that bad, but it sure wouldn't hurt to buy paint-able bumpers to have painted.

I'm all for the blackout look. I used to have chrome bumpers too but I found someone local with painted bumpers who wanted chrome ones. Swapped him and then had his old ones painted red. Just a thought if you find someone locally who might want to swap.

This isn't an F150 but here is my Super Duty with the stock chrome wheels, bumpers, chrome grill, and nerf bars. Personally I think the black out thing has been overdone and I was going to go that direction as well but have since changed my mind.

My truck is pretty black with chrome bumpers. Not grey but maybe it will help you see what chrome bumpers look like with the black wheels.

Everyone has their own opinion, but I am not a fan of the blackout look unless its a black truck. True, there are a lot of trucks on here that look great with black rims but for me, I like chrome rims with a few accents. Chrome can easily be overdone and make a rig look cheap so IMHO, there's a thin line between looking good and looking like crap. I guess the same can be said for overdone "black" too...
