Which Paint for Emblems

I want to paint my ford emblems on the front and rear and also the 3 f150 emblems. I'm going to tape off and paper all the areas and do them on the truck.

I see mixed ideas and methods of what paint to use and clear coats.

I have some adhesive promoter and Duplicolor PTM black(color of my truck), would this work or do I need to get Krylon Fusion? Do I still need to hit it with some sandpaper and which grit for all emblems?

I have a white 97 and I did mine in a cheap Walmart flat black and no clear coat and they turned out good. They are standing up good in the couple months I've had it done. reason i didn't use clear is bc i like the flat better. The more work u put into it the longer it will last though.

I used Krylon Fusion and primer. Don't remember exactly when I did them but it's been over a year. They've been fading and chipping so I just purchased a new set of emblems and going to get them done by a "pro".
