There are dimpled areas under the hood. You will have to drill them. I suggest doing this before painting.

Did you use your existing ones and just put them on the new one. BTW How did you put the grilles in your hood....?

I never used them. I don't like water with amonia on the truck. I'd just rather wipe the windshield off it I get a bug or two on it.

You should be able to reuse the stock one's if you want...

The grills are double-sided taped in place.
*tape
**grills
***tape
Back it off far enough so you don't see it when looking in.

I suggest fitting these before painting also.

My hood came with a squirter kit. They peek out from under the hood. They don't squirt as good as the factory ones but in an emergancy (mud, light rain w/dust) they do the trick. I didn't want to drill my hood for the factory ones.

BTW anyone know when the funcional kit will be ready?

Geek:

I sent them an e-mail Thursday asking for a status. No reply as of today.

What I don't understand is, they make a functional kit for every other hood except this one.... Why?

Thumbs up

98STXV8, how long did they say it would take to ship and do you have any idea what shipping costs are?

Thanks

TampaSVT : Me too, I just hope I'ts worth the wait. Not to open a can O worms but what I have read here I think it may be more of a CAI hood though. Even though similar setups have been called ram air since the 60's. You know what I mean.

Corn-fused

I was thinking about some Mach I style ram air stickers. Hmm I wonder how Cold Air Induction stickers would look?

What a cheezy grin!

Exclamation

I called Cervini's the other day and got the same line as some got before. The functional kit should be ready at the end of summer. Wait a second. I live in Australia-I'ts already winter here! Just kidding, alittle humor to make the waiting easier.

Screens?

Hey 98STXV8,

Those screens for the hood you can get from Cervini's. They don't list nor tell you about them. Why? I don't know. But if you ask for them, they'll send them to you free of charge. I know there hard to keep in stock. Get'um while you can. I got mine still sitting in the shed. Can't hurt not to have them around in case I change my mind. If you already ordered your hood, call them back and get your screens. They look like the Mach One screens. Plus they have Ram Air stickers for the hood. They come in black, white, silver and red. They say 302 Ram Air. I cut off the 302. They look fine. Nice truck dude, good luck with your hood and future mods.
