Would it look good?

What I liked about the old truck was the PTM & black out look I was going for. This black Lariat chrome pkg truck looks sharp as hell, I never liked chrome but I really do like the chrome pkg components. I love the black heads look on these trucks, especially the round fogs but I just never seen it looking good on this truck. Then I snagged a pic of my old truck and PS'd the heads on my '07, and blacked out the emblem retaining the chrome lettering and I really like the look.. The chrome grill & surround I figured would look out of place, but it kind of works in conjunction doesn't it? The mirror caps don't look so bad neither with the black heads. Would it look good? Or keep it chrome?

Before ( Chromed 3157s currently installed ).

After Photoshop.

Of coarse, it wouldn't just be black OEM housings, there would be FX-R projectors installed . Also photoshopped a windshield brow the best I could because I will be getting that along with 5% front doors done soon.

dont like the eyebrow tint. I think they look cheesy as hell.

You should leave that grill on the truck, just do a black grill surround for it

I agree with Pat. Don't go full black out though, keep some of the chrome on it.

Darren,

I think the black heads look good, but I would leave the brow off...does your truck have the etched-looking "F-150" on the upper windshield? If so, it would ruin that, and I think the windshield logo looks great. Like many others, generally not a fan of the brow tint.

Thanks for your input. So are you saying chrome heads, black surround? Or black heads + black surround? What about the emblem overlays do you like?

Didn't plan to . Well i'll admit when I first saw it I thought it would look good all black, but defeating the purpose of the nice looking Chrome Pkg isn't worth the investment and a little chrome isn't too bad on black.

Yes, all of the '04+ windshields have the F150 dot matrix thing in them I thought. I really don't understand why because you can only see it from the inside, and its backwards and horizontally flipped.. Pointless imo..

I just photoshopped Patrick's suggestion of the PTM surround with chrome grill on the picture with black heads, wow, I like this even more.

Black heads and surround! Maybe with a bumper grill?

I did a quick PS for kicks of clear heads with black grill surround. Also has the black overlay and no windshield brow.

Thanks 88. I'm surprised a ton of people hate the windshield eye brows. I like the looks of the aftermarket ones and would like to try one but idk. If I do, well its only about $20 or so installed right? won't be a hard loss if disliked.
