Finally decided to do it.....

Well, 3 years ago, when I bought my F150 brand new, I actually bought a camo kit for my rock panels, right about the same time. Going by my photo shopping, I thought it looked great > with my camo boat behind it..... Like a "for sure I've got to do it" kind of thing.....
But without my camo'd boat behind it, I was really 50/50 on the idea..... and this coming from a guy who loves camo in the first place (like cloths, boots, bed spread, etc, etc.... Heck, I would not even have bought my boat if it were not available in camo )

So, here we are 3 years down the road, and I still love my truck, but the excitement has definitely worn off.
This week (and into my next days off) I'm repainting my grill, and using the bedliner spray on my bumpers (currently black powder coated, but beginning to oxidize... tired of waxing them with every wash !) and also on my step bars (they are chipping and rusting, and need some help / future protection.

Anyway, I already know their are a lot of guys who just don't like anything camo in the first place.... let alone on their truck, and that's fine.

But I do have to say this > I don't think I have ever seen a truck (not even on the camo supply websites) more suited to having some camo accents added to it 1) because of my fairly rare Stone Green paint (I know, it's brown, right ?) and 2) because my truck is totally blacked out (I think camo looks like crap, mixed with chrome)

So here's a photo shop.... {note: I just used the camo from the boat to clone it in, but I think my actual 3M vinyl looks even better (albeit, not an exact match to the boat, as with this photoshop job.....

Anyway.... even if you hate camo, don't you think this looks better than the same camo on a white, black, or red truck..... with lots of chrome ?

And if you like camo, does this look awesome, or what ?

Oh, I think even my badges will go great with camo (re-done since the above photo....

I can't remember who hated the idea, and who loved it, but after 3 years, I've finally decided... I'm doing it, probably next week. The stuff comes off easily if I didn't like it, but I think I will

I like all different styles myself. I think that will look unbelievable ! The colors blend well without being overdone. Just don't start throwing a bunch of other camo stuff on it. Looks perfect like that. Good things come to those who wait. And sounds like you've waited long enough. Can't wait to see if done.

Thank you Oneupper. I couldn't agree more, about not going crazy with camo.

A few years ago, when I first started considering this idea, I posted on here, and had guys posting links for camo's wheels, visors, bug guards, etc, etc.....
Thanks, but no thanks.

If I add any more camo whatsoever, it won't be on the exterior, but rather, some new camo seat covers > Great for hiding stains, and wear.

Peace,
Fish

Thanks again for these votes of confidence

Now I'm really anxious. Looking at next Monday. Then Tuesday, I'll try to go somewhere for some good photos of it. Will post them, of course

Peace,
Fish

I think that'll look great! I've always liked camo on trucks, just not overdone like most people do it. I don't like it when people do the rockers, window visors, mirror caps, bumpers, and all that stuff together.

That actually looks great. I wasn't sure at first because of what people down here do with camo.
Is the 3M stuff the same pattern?

I think it would look good also. Every time I am in your neck of the woods I keep an eye out for your truck. With the camo accents it will be easier to pick out.

Have you caught any lunkers lately? You have some awesome catches on your site.

I seen a pic of you with a fish posted in a store in Vacaville, IIRC. Maybe it was at Guns, Fishing & Other Stuff? When I seen the pic I though "Well I'll be... that is Fish Chris from F150ol."

I personally do not like camo, but I honestly think it does look good on your truck. Definitely only works with your color!

It seems to work great with your truck. It looks like some special edition truck because everything looks so good together. I think it looks better than the pic you have in your signature right now! Cant wait to see it done for real!

Looks good, Fish! I have always admired your truck. I have the same color. I would like to change the chrome to black but can't justify the expense for everything I would need to do. That is just enough camo, anymore would be over the top. With that addition it would probably make the stone green metallic look brown from any direction and in any light. Can't wait for the pics.

Not usually a camo fan much at all, but that looks great. Can't wait to see the real thing.
