will fx4 bumper fit on the xlt? If so would anyone be willing to trade a chrome front and rear for a black fx4 front and rear bumpers

 

When I needed a black rear bumper I looked to craigslist and found one. Bought it and then listed mine on craigslist. Sold mine for what I bought the black one for.

 

I was in the same situation. Had chrome bumpers and wanted black or ptm. Ended up painting with Rustoleum black bed liner. Sells for 8 bucks a can at home depot or Walmart and takes a can per bumper. There is a how to about this stuff as well.

When you did the rustoleum, did you just paint over the chrome?

 

Slightly delayed response here. I used a scotch/brillo pad to scuff them up and also sanded. This roughed the surface up. I then used automotive primer, which u don't have to, but wanted best adhesion possible then painted over it with the Rustoleum. Just tape off and take time to prep. There is also a how to about this stuff. Just search rustoleum and it should bring it up. I like the look much better. U can look in my album to see before lugs with the chrome bumpers. Sells at home depot, Walmart and autozone for around 7.50 a can. These are larger than regular spray paint cans.
