Question Ford Tonneau Cover

Does anyone have the Ford Factory Tonneau Cover? Do you like it? Is it hard to roll up? Difficult to snap back into frame? I like the look of them. Does anyone know what they cost? I would like all opinions pro and con.

Thanks

I have the Ford factory soft tonneau and like it. It cost $150 ordered with the truck from the factory. It's not difficult to roll up and even has straps attached to secure it. You can also easily remove the cover all together. Since it's snapless it reattaches easily too. The back rail can be released and slid into the bed to make removing it easier in cold weather.

There are two things I don't like. Since it's snapless it either has to be on or off. You can't just unhook a section like you can with a snap tonneau. Mine also likes to curl a little on the rear corners.

I have an F150 SuperCab and I purchased an Advance Cover from K-Covers and I absolutely love the cover. This cover is a 4-Panel folding hard tonneau truck cover that can be opened from the front or the rear and can be removed in seconds (so you have access to your entire cargo area at all times). Check out their website at www.kcovers.com as they have a ton of great pictures and information. They were real helpful to me and answered all of my questions personally over the phone every time I called (and I had A LOT of questions). I shopped around but they did have the lowest prices on the web.

Good Luck,

Mark

On the factory Tonneau, you should release the rear support bar, then lift up your corners to remove the tonneau, or else you'll damage the tonneau itself

Thumbs up

Denaveechi,

Got to agree with 01Sport - it appears that the Ford cover (Ex-Tang) gives you more bag for the buck . . . easy on an off . . . looks good . . . wears good . . . !

I had to remove my bedliner to add the Paint Saver Pad . . . the cover rails are easy to remove and reinstall (if you ever have to) and the fit is great . . .
