Bushwacker Flare Question

Ok I finaly pulled the trigger and bought a set of Pocket Flares for my truck. This is the first set of bushwacker flares I have bought I didn't know they were such a rigid plastic, I thought they would have some more give like a factory flare. Anyone have any issues with these shattering in the winter or getting broken easily?

Also for the guys that are running them unpainted, any fading issues.

Thanks,

I've had mine on for a while now and they are doin fine. It would take something major to break them, they would bend a lot before they break.

IMO, the unpainted flares look tacky, if you want them black paint them first they are a pain in the a$$ to put on. Trust me you only want to do it once.

I think I am going to have them painted the matte black. That should look good on the silver.

I keep hearing about the fares rubbing paint off the fender over time. Is this something everyone has encounterd or is it just a few cases?

I have not seen any damage on mine but I have not specifically looked for it. But honestly, once you have them on why would you want to take them off?

Not so much concerned about taking them off, but if it starts to rust behind them where the paint is rubbed off.
