Your thoughts on paint options...

First off, thanks to DanBBP for his fab work on these 9.75" rear diff guards! Before I install mine, I need to clean and repaint my black OEM diff cover. But what color should I paint the guard? My original thought was to do some bedliner-type DIY paint, but since the diff cover is already black, the guard could get lost if it is also black. I think it would look great if I ptm'd it DSG like the rest of my truck, but what do you think? I am not looking to spend a lot of money on this so powercoating is out of the question (unless you're in the Bay Area and can do it cheap!).

Here's the diff guard (sorry Dan, but I need to borrow your pic) - it needs to be sanded in some spots, primered, then paint:

Wow, no love?!?
Ok, here's what I would do: I'd go with paint to match...repaint the diff cover black so it will look clean and the contrast with the DSG diff guard would look great. But where to get DSG paint to match?

Go to Autmotiive Touchup and order the paint in a rattle can. Prep, primer, paint...good to go!

I think gloss black would look good. Since your truck sits up so high, I doubt many could miss it.

They actually would look quite decent on there as is. The satin machined look, but if they rust..

They do look good as is and I thought about installing it, but since the paint was too similiar to DSG, I think it would look a little weird. I have a can of paint code CX (DSG) coming so I will make up my mind soon enough.
Thanks guys.
