I need help on just photoshoping in general? Do i need to but the software from Adobe?Also which version do i need?My uses for it is to have a picture of my truck and put other things on it such as wheels,Tires,Rock rails any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

To use the software, yes you do actually have to buy it. If you've never played with it before, you might want to go to adobe's website and do the trial, its not easy.

go to youtube and watch "you suck at photoshop". the guy is a genius and covers everything.

Unless you plan on doing animations, you don't need Photoshop Extended.

The software is pricey, but well worth it.

Before dropping that much cheddar, you could try GIMP. I've never used it, so I can't say for sure whether it will accomplish what you need it to, but a lot of people use it as a free alternative to Photoshop.

I use Gimp. Works well enough for what I need it (doing simple mods). With it, I can see how my Expy would look like with 500 or 1000 HP, depending on the number of stickers I put on.

I could give you some basic pointers once you get it. One thing is for certain, you'll need to spend a bit of time with either program, at least in the beginning.
