If I understand you correctly you're saying like the way its done in the top pic as opposed to the full black in the bottom pic....and I agree that the (top one) does look good

I gotta offer up my 2 cents, although it doesn't necessarily agree with the love that is going around.... I actually believe that a three tone, (lower grey, yellow center and black hood) looks wrong. At the very least, your next step, before any headlights, or bedliners, or ANYTHING else needs to be to eliminate the grey on your truck. Either paint it black to try and tie the hood in, or yellow to tie in with the rest of the truck. 3 colors looks bad. Maybe look at the idea of painting the top half of the doors, the area above level with the box rails black, and the roof also. You would also wind up doing the top edge of the fenders, and a part of the door jambs so you wouldn't see yellow through the cracks.

Can anyone photo shop that? Lower grey area, make black. draw a line level with the top of the bed rails, and color everything above it black also to match the hood.....
And maybe for kicks, paint the hood air intake "nostrils" yellow. Just a hint of yellow on the hood.

canadian im sure everyone is trying not to notice the grey hah i sure as hell am.
i eventually plan on line-xing(black) that part of the truck along with bed caps bed etc.
but at 50 bucks a week its extremely hard to get anything done.
im trying to get the cheaper stuff out of the way so i can start saving for the
expensive stuff. and to what you said about the hood vents i agree. i dont even
have them on yet hah so painting them yellow will work out perfectly!

and thanks cameron!
definitely liking the lights like that the more i see em!
but i kinda liked this. i just dont know how to photoshop and how good it would look
realistically.

....you get the point haha

Hey scammer, can ya add a little more black to your drawing? My thoughts were more along the lines of following the moulding under the door glass, and coming straight across the fender. The dip in the moulding gives it great character.

Don't paint the roof black... if you did you would have to add more black to the back to even it out. I think it looks great as it is. Well with the minor adjustments with the headlights and Line-X'ed lower panels.
