help deciding color of hood!

please forgive the shoddy MS Paint work. I'm sure someone with PS can do much better

The hood seems to have a natural line where the raised cowl part is, and that blends down into the grill surround.



or just do the scoops black and the rest PTM the body



not great, but I was bored so I thought I'd mess with it

this scheme with black grill surround and then have the guy that paints stock headlights on here paint you up some color matched yellow headlights to make everything match. just my opinion. lol

That picture with the yellow hood and black scoops looks REALLY awesome!Id do that and get black heads and keep the surround yellow.

Honestly I always think that looks pretty tacky when people do that. If he were to keep the whole hood black he would have to customize the headlights and the grille surround to make the hood flow with the color scheme of the truck.

Like have the headlight yellow on the outside and black on the inside lining up evenly with the color scheme that's touching the headlight. If I had photoshop I would show you what I'm talking about.

yes this would look good and then maybe paint the grill Yellow to help break up all the black. PS anyone.

whatever you do, i think it should be the same color as the lower gray, not black.

well guys i got the hood painted!
i got my emblems painted aswell. they were painting something black already,
and i mentioned i wanted it black and they gave a better deal if i went with black
moneys tight so i went ahead and went with it. turned out great!

now i NEED black headlights hah
i was wondering if i should get harley style ones or clear corner, or black out the
orange reflector. any opinions???

and thanks hockey for those pics! much appreciated man

That looks amazing, but with the headlights I don't think you should get it all painted black. You should make the outsides yellow and the insides black so it all flows together.
