I am sure ya'll heard of the white night reverse light systems...

they sell a 7 pin adapter (plug n go)for $14 that plugs into the outlet for the light kit they sell...I talked to them and if you buy the adapter they can sell you the pigtail that plugs into the adaptor for what appears to be a splice free install with the ability to use the trailer lights and still leaves the 4 pin connector free for other things like 60" tail gate brake/reverse lights...and your lights will turn on when you put into reverse...

there may be a way to add a switch that will let you turn them on/off at will but this is not my department...just not looking to splice any wires while still under warrenty!!!

I'll try to post pics later today, I got it done yesterday ran my wiring from the lights up to the pwr wire that goes to my amp. then ran the lights up to a switch on the dash. Work good. tried two locations and think I have settled on putting them at an angle.

I mounted my lights to the hitch in an attempt to protect them from rocks/mud/water thrown up by the tires.

Wiring the lights to a SPDT switch is really handy. When I'm wheeling at night, I switch them so they come on anytime I'm in reverse. When I want to close a gate or hitch a trailer, I switch them so they come on when the parking lights are on (keeps me from forgetting them and draining the battery). The rest of the time, they're switched to the off position.

Man there awesome, I haven't been to a desert area since I live in NE Oklahoma but for snow/ice/mud/rain there perfect. I don't go mudding but it does great for traction in a little mud. They are now 13 months old and are still a little over half tread. I got the 10 ply ones over the 4 and the ride really didn't suffer.

Here we are, sorry I took awhile to post these up, 14 hours and my 48 will be up, at least I am able to do this at work i guess.

Put them on the angled piece on the hitch, they can face almost straight back or straight to the side, but at an angle towards the ground.

I know, my reverse 3rd tailight is out.

Straight back...

Pointed out a bit....

Its a pity u can't put them on either side of yr plate, that way u are messing the line of yr truck. It would also give them more protection.
