I didn't have them on my 150, but when I got my 250 it was one of the first mods I did. I went with DDM and only issue I'm having is when I leave the lights turned to Auto. Sometimes the headlights won't come on automatically. I have to turn them off then turn the switch back to either the "auto" or "on" position and then they work fine. Sometimes only one head light comes on which is always the same one. I have the Hi/Lo's which require a little more than just plugging in two wires.

Other than that issue I love the lights. I went with the 6k. They're bright enough to where you very seldom will need to use the brights. Only time I'll get flashed is if I have the heads and fogs on at the same time.

i did not run those in traffic, the adjusters were broke off so they pointed upwards alot. but since then i bought all new lenses and assemblies and they are aimed correctly. i wasnt trying to start nothing either, just defending myself. i dont want you guys to think i just through some hids in stock housings and left it like that. every hid kit i install i aim the persons headlights down a little whether they like it or not. if they choose to raise them back up once they leave my shop, thats there deal. just know i aim mine down and i cant afford to retrofit.

It doesn't matter whether anyone wants to admit it or not----plug and play HID kits are blinding regardless of whether they are aimed down or not. Like others have mentioned, even passing a little riced out Honda Civic with HIDs will blind you.

I've tried to remedy the problem without having to fork out the money for retrofits:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/ap...-fix-hids.html

In the end I pulled them out for the safety of other drivers. Fact of the matter is.......the round stock headlight housings (04-08) are not meant for HID bulbs. I decided I would either do it right or not do it at all. I'm hoping many more will grow up and realize what I have.

Yes even in my truck I have come across many other lifted trucks with halogen lights that weren't aimed properly that are almost blinding. Driving my moms car while my truck has been in the shop I have a new appreciation for every car driver out there. There are so many vehicles that even just halogens are blinding let alone HID "throw-in-kits".

So for me I properly check to make sure my halogens are aimed right, and make up my light output problem with my 4 150wat off-road lights hooked up to my high beams for those lonely roads.
