I had the Recon Extreme and it lasted about 7 months. Just ordered a cheap one for 50 bucks. The 50 dollar one will probaly last 10x longer than the Recon..

I've had my Recon Xtreme for over a year now and no problems at all, except for having to unplug it when I tow since I haven't hardwired all of it in yet.
