Aftermarket Grill

I am changing out the grill on my 06 FX4. Looking for all black. I am considering the Grillcraft grill, however the install involves some cutting etc. Anybody have experience with this or any other aftermarket BLACK grill? If its worth the $200.00 I'll go the Grillcraft route.

Thanks

I suggest Fx2 Grille if you want to go black.

I agree. I picked up mine off E-bay ( just the insert) and painted it black. Also painted my grill surround too.

I put a black mesh Grillcraft grille (P/N: FOR-1308B) in my FX2. It's not hard, but it took a little time since I had never cut out a grille before, and I was afraid of breaking the plastic. I love how it looks, and decided to install a matching bumper grille too. Just take your time. I used a hacksaw blade and a dremel with a cutting wheel to cut the grille from the frame. I would also recommend using a hair dryer when separating the grille from the surround. It looks totally clean once installed. You can't see any part of the original grille frame.
